This Privacy Policy explains how BIKEADDONS LLC ("Chat Music," "we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with the Chat Music mobile application (the "App"). We built Chat Music to be usable without an account, and we collect as little as we can while keeping the App working, safe, and improving.
1. Who we are
Chat Music is an app that lets you create original songs by chatting and listen to music you make and discover. The App is operated by BIKEADDONS LLC. You can reach us any time at support@chatmusic.app.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Creative input: the chat messages, prompts, lyrics, style descriptions, and song titles you enter to create or edit music, and any voice input you choose to dictate.
- Support messages: anything you send us by email.
Information collected automatically
- Device identifier: an anonymous, app-generated identifier used to link your credits, purchases, and creations to your device. It is not your name or email.
- Usage & diagnostics: in-app events, feature usage, performance data, and crash reports, used to fix bugs and improve the App.
- Device & technical data: device model, operating system version, app version, language/region, and IP address (used transiently for delivering content and preventing abuse).
- Push token: if you enable notifications, a push token so we can deliver them.
Purchases
Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details. We receive your subscription and purchase status (for example, whether a plan is active) through our subscription provider so we can unlock the features and credits you paid for.
3. How we use information
- To provide the App — generate, stream, store, and play back the songs you create, and maintain your library and credit balance.
- To process purchases and grant the corresponding credits or subscription benefits.
- To operate advertising in the free experience (see Advertising).
- To understand usage, diagnose crashes, and improve features and reliability.
- To provide customer support and respond to your messages.
- To protect the App — detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security, or technical issues.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
4. Prompts & AI-generated music
When you ask Chat Music to create or change a song, the text you enter (and related settings such as style or mood) is sent to our servers and to third-party AI music providers that generate the audio and lyrics on our behalf. This processing is necessary to deliver the song you asked for. Generated audio and associated metadata may be stored so we can return it to you, keep it in your library, and improve the service. Please don't include sensitive personal information in your prompts.
5. Sharing & service providers
We do not sell your personal information. We share limited information with trusted service providers who process it on our behalf, under contracts that require them to protect it:
- Apple — App Store distribution and payment processing.
- Google (Firebase & AdMob) — analytics, crash reporting, push message delivery, and advertising.
- Our subscription provider — to validate purchases and manage subscription status.
- AI music providers — to generate the songs and lyrics you request.
- Cloud hosting & infrastructure — to run and secure the service.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of our users or others. If our business is involved in a merger or acquisition, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
6. Advertising
The free version of Chat Music may show ads delivered by Google AdMob. Chat Music requests non-personalized ads and does not use Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA) or ask you to be tracked across other companies' apps and websites. AdMob may still process limited data (such as coarse, non-identifying signals and IP address) to deliver ads, cap frequency, and prevent fraud, as described in Google's privacy documentation. You can remove ads by subscribing.
7. Data retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the App and for the purposes described here — for example, your creations and credit balance are kept so they remain available to you. Diagnostic and analytics data is retained for limited periods. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed, or upon a valid request, subject to legal and legitimate-business requirements.
8. Your rights & choices
- Access & deletion: because Chat Music is device-based and anonymous, email us at support@chatmusic.app and we will help you access or delete the data associated with your device identifier.
- Notifications: turn push notifications off any time in your device settings.
- Ads: subscribe to remove ads; you can also reset your device-level ad settings in iOS Settings.
- Regional rights: depending on where you live (for example, the EEA/UK or California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact us to exercise these rights; we will not discriminate against you for doing so.
9. Children
Chat Music is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. International users
Chat Music is operated from the United States, and information may be processed in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate. These countries may have different data-protection laws than yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice in the App. Your continued use of Chat Music after an update means you accept the revised policy.
